MEET NEVA
Neva Parker has called California her home her entire life. Born and raised in the east bay town of Hercules, she attended public schools, eventually graduating from UC Davis with a BA in history after transferring from Contra Costa College her junior year.
While at UC Davis, she worked as an intern in the state capitol with the Office of the Chief Clerk. There, she learned the administrative intricacies of moving measures through the legislature, and with hard work, transformed a 10-month opportunity into a 26-year career. She served in many non-partisan capacities, most notably as the Senate Journal Clerk where she was responsible for maintaining the Senate’s official record.
For 22 years, she and her husband Dennis have called Roseville their home. They both have been small business owners, operating several brick-and-mortar and online businesses, including Max Muscle of Reno, Max Muscle of Folsom, Maximum Nutrition of Folsom, and Maximum Nutrition Worldwide.
Currently, Neva serves as Vice Chair of the Roseville Grants Advisory Commission and volunteers her time with the Placer Food Bank and the Assistance League of Greater Placer. In 2013 she earned an MA from Saint Mary’s College of California.
